With a background in medical science, volunteer work, event organising and performing, Pauline thought she knew the changes her body would go through in its lifetime, that is until her mid 40's when she began to experience severe memory loss. Her doctors sent her to be tested for Alzheimer's and Dementia but was lucky to be "diagnosed" with peri-menopause. She then started an online search for answers to the questions she forgot to ask the doctors.
She found a lot of dry medical info designed for the medical community but nothing for the ordinary woman going through peri-menopause. Simple questions like "When will it end?", "Do I have to take HRT?", "Is there some way I can reduce the symptoms myself naturally?" were not answered, so she set out to find the answers to these and many other questions. With her background in singing and acting she then started a fun, one woman stage show The Pearls of Pauline - Pearls of Wisdom, Compassion & Joy for Menopausal Women which she has performed in Iceland, the UK an the USA.
She also started hosting the Menopause Morph Podcast that aims to inform and educate women to thrive through their menopause and beyond. It can be found on iTunes, Stitcher Radio and other podcast hosting sites.
Pauline also started her own successful Icelandic souvenir candy company when she was 52 and learned to oil paint when she was 47 both of these events inspired her to help other women re-invent themselves in their late 40's and 50's, change careers or even start their own businesses.
