Personal note:

I think that we have to rethink the way we talk about ethics in tech so that we design, develop and use technologies which are good for our society and environment.

During my study of economics and law, my research was devoted to speculation on the international financial markets. Moreover, I gained experience in the finance industry and combating economic crime. This enabled me to build up a deeper understanding of economics and to realize that ethical considerations are not discussed enough within our economy and society.

That's why I decided to take the path of academic philosophy, which meant for me always questioning things and taking different perspectives. By combining these academic tools with my economic understanding, I would like to actively shape the digital transformation and help to develop technologies which are of advantage for our society and our environment.

In my work as a philosopher, my focus is practical philosophy and ethics, whereby I mainly deal with questions of medical and bioethics as well as artificial intelligence. I also contributed to the meetup.ai Berlin, which enabled me to acquire a broad knowledge of the practical and entrepreneurial challenges of using artificial intelligence. I am currently devoting myself to building a non-profit think tank on the topics of ethics & tech and advising companies on how to implement ethics and sustainability in their corporate strategy.

I have already gained experience as a speaker on various topics, such as animal and environmental ethics, diversity in tech and the use of artificial intelligence in the medical industry.
