Niki Matita is a DJ, cultural researcher, musician, radio and media producer, editor, journalist - and an activist for a free community radio in Berlin. She co-ordinates Berlin-based free community radio Pi Radio and is board member of AMARC Europe. She has been working with interdisciplinary projects and is a founding member of Kunstverein Buscha 11 e.V. in rural Thuringia. She has organized and participated in numerous international projects, festivals, residences, conferences and events that e.g. refer to music, circus, radio, gender, art, sustainability and politics. Her activities focus on interdisciplinary work and networking and cross-cultural dialogue that addresses the social, historical, political and artistic aspects of contemporary culture.
